OMG, JCo Donuts, click on Promos! And behold of the Lorem Ipsum *sigh*
And see the phrase Join with us in their community page. *smile*
I sure hope the Telkom.tv blog competition site did buy the templates from Andreas Viklund. I just saw the design a couple of days ago. |

CSS Framework
I love the idea of CSS Framework, but I also love the idea of creating your own framework.
- typography.css for basic typographic rules,
- grid.css for grid-based layouts or
- layout.css for general layouts,
- form.css for basic form styling,
- general.css for further general rules

I found MyTopics in one of Digital Web articles. It's a forum web application, you all know that I hate phpBB and prefer Vanilla, I might want to try this one in the near future.
From that I get this website: One Lotus Creative, a one page design.
For gallery viewing http://www.celerondude.com/php-simple-gallery http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/ (flash-based) http://gallery.menalto.com/ |

http://www.valentinaolini.com/ --> cute web design.
http://ffffound.com/ --> image bookmarking.
http://pine.chu.jp/pine/page/1.html --> this Japanese illustration site might seem innocent at first, but don't let that fool you. It's very nice, but just a warning, it might be disturbing.
I didn't know what went inside my head when I posted those in ivles

The importance of building an international website for the sake of internationalization is explained in the interview with Richard Ishida over at DigitalWeb.
I always love PingMag articles and today I got the link to this great typography article about two people in Japan playing with characters. Even their face sketches at their business cards are using characters.
Who made the Office of International Affairs website over at University of Surabaya? I made three clicks and still cannot find where the news section is. Duh!
CSS declarations: Who wins? CSS specificity explained in the Star Wars realm. |

LiveJournal.com had put out their Easter banner for Horizon/Vertigo. :D
Meanwhile, over at freelayouts, carriep63 started a unique layout contest and write reviews for each S2 styles.

I'm sad to see:
- (1) People who don't want to move out their comfort zone
- Some people who make layouts don't want me to tell them that their CSS declaration syntax is incorrect and may subject as potential to screw up and raised a lot of comments. Silly examples are: No space after the colon, no comma after the first font name, and using quotes for single-named fonts but did not do the same for fonts with names consist of multiple words.
- (2) People who don't understand that what they can see is not what others will see
- I saw many unoriginal layouts with subtle hue on top of bright backgrounds. Is this some kind of conspiracy to make more income for the glasses and contacts industry?
I'm not trying to be an elite girl or something, but if you really want to do something, understand that it's an ongoing process of learning. We should NOT STOP to brush up our skills and think that our techniques are top-notch already.

When you have millions of possibilities to for a home page layout, it really has to be the client to decide it.
I'm arranging a home page layout right now and already had satisfying 3 alternative sketches and one of those alternatives has another 3 alternatives. Plus 11 pages of other detailed elements sketches.
One of our common traits is (the client and me), we're obsessed with details. :D
